These are different problems requiring different tools, and more suction is usually the wrong one. Our revision plan combines release of scarred planes, fine-cannula redistribution and stem-cell-assisted grafting to refill hollow areas. Timing matters: we assess at six months after the original surgery and rarely operate before then, because tissue is still settling.
What is revision liposuction?
Revision liposuction corrects the result of a previous operation. That usually means an uneven surface, a dent, an area that was under-treated, or a step where a treated region meets an untreated one.
It is not the same operation repeated. Scarred tissue behaves differently from untreated fat, so the plan is drawn from what was done before rather than from what the area looks like now.

Am I a good candidate for revision liposuction?
At least six months have passed since the original surgery, your weight is stable, and you can describe or show what specifically bothers you. Bring photographs from before your first operation and any operative record you have; they change the plan more than any examination finding.
Patients whose result is simply not what they hoped for, but whose contour is even and symmetrical, are often better served by waiting than by operating. We will say so.
What problems can revision liposuction fix?
- Waviness and rippling from suction taken too superficially
- Asymmetry between left and right, or between adjacent regions
- Removing too much creating a hollow or a visible step
- Adhesions where skin is tethered to muscle and moves unnaturally
- Residual fat in transition zones, particularly the flank-to-back and thigh-to-knee junctions

What results can I expect from revision liposuction?
Revision improves contour rather than resetting it. Adhesions and residual excess usually correct in one operation; large deficits often need two or three grafting sessions because only a proportion of transferred fat survives each time.
